About Us
Background
Learning Disabilities (LD) can affect up to 10% of the students today. These children hate reading, or read but can’t comprehend. They can have intelligent conversations but have difficulty writing. Their test papers are messy with poor penmanship and misspelled words. They posses obvious intelligence but have poor academic performance. At EdLink, children with LD are not “lazy and dumb”, we recognize that they just learn differently.
Given the right intervention, these children can bloom. Success is the best motivator. At EdLink, we help children prevent mistakes instead of correcting them.
EdLink programs have been helping elementary and high school students since the year 2000. Our program directors and therapists have been trained in several programs designed for children with Learning Differences to improve their skills. At EdLink, each child is viewed as a unique individual with strengths and challenges. By strengthening the talents and using these to improve the difficulties, students are given opportunities to achieve academic success.
